In my free time I enjoy active sports - going to the gym, all kinds of group workouts, roller-blading, ice-skating, kangoo jumps and swimming. I also like arts and crafts, I’m into scrapbooking, photography, and I am keen on psychology and I use the knowledge in my classes. I’m from Ukraine, currently based in Cyprus. I use communicative approach in teaching, and it’s important for me to let ly students talk in class as much as they can. I always try to meet their learning needs and give them maximum opportunity to learn and practice based on their request. I am keen on learning foreign languages myself (I’m currently learning Greek and German) and I can say that I know what it’s like to be in my students’ shoes:))) I am very passionate about teaching and really patient with students being slow learners as well as excited with quick learners and always ready to give them more challenging material. I am a native Russian speaker and an experienced and fluent English speaker. I make sure my students get maximum speaking practice, as well as learn and practice new grammar, vocabulary and improve their pronunciation. I prefer teaching practically, so that all the theoretical knowledge is used in speech. I help my students practice and if I see gaps, I give them more activities to fill them. I am a certified language instructor with a Master’s degree in English and literature. I have professional teaching certificates such as CELTA, TKT, TESOL, Global language training, Dogme ELT, TBLT, Teaching listening and speaking, Teaching to higher levels and more. My students are successfully improving their skills and communicating in English abroad, as well as using English for work communication. I make my lessons real-life based and as interactive and student cantered as possible. I make sure people understand what they are saying and help them say it correctly. In higher levels I help learners to enrich their vocab and grammar knowledge.
