Hello my name is Ursula. I am 42 years old. I obtained my Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom where I taught English combined with vocational subjects to a range of learners from various backgrounds and cultures. I decided to embark on a new adventure of homesteading with my young family and currently live in a small farming community in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. I love living closer to nature and spending time with my family, our animals and in the garden. I continued my teaching career, teaching English at the local school and have currently completed my Advanced TEFL certificate. I have a diverse teaching style with a student-centered approach; together we can explore English in a fun and creative way. I have an Advanced TEFL Certificate, Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Hair and Beauty Level 3 Qualification and Assessor and Internal Verifier Qualifications. I taught English combined with vocational subjects to students of all ages ranging from 10 - 40+, from various backgrounds and cultures! I taught students English that was necessary in their day-to-day activities in pursuit of their careers. Upon returning to South Africa to embark on a lifestyle change I taught English as a second Language to primary school learners for a year. This included grammar, pronunciation, conversational English, articulation, preparation for orals, reading and comprehension as well as preparation for formative and summative assessments. I have recently completed my advanced TEFL Certificate and am looking forward to joining this platform to teach English making use of all my previous teaching experiences. I have a diverse teaching style with a student-centered approach. I will make sure that we work towards your personal goals with your own individual learning plan. My lessons are fun and creative and include a variety of materials, flashcards, games, songs and many more….
