Thamilini Ganeshalingam

I have a passion for language teaching and love to help my students develop a love for learning. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and a TESL Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate from Seneca College. With vast experience working with adults and young children, I have in depth knowledge of ESL teaching and how to tailor my classes to meet the needs of my students. Students have unique strengths and weaknesses and the classroom allows them to improve their language skills. In my language teaching, I work to improve my students' reading, writing and oral communication skills and develop advanced speaking skills. In my spare time, I have many hobbies including reading, writing, embroidery and playing badminton. I look forward to working with all my students in their journey of learning English! :) I have vast experience teaching elementary school and high school children English, both in the classroom setting and online. I have volunteered as an ESL teacher for various different organizations including Frontier College and the Speakeasy Club. My English lessons are tailored towards the unique strengths and weaknesses of my students. Students can expect my lessons to be interesting, thought-provoking and meet the objectives they have set out for their language learning! My teaching style is fun, unique, open-minded and incorporates active, all rounded learning! I would like my students to enjoy their lessons while at the same being exposed to top-notch learning and curriculum materials. I look forward to working with all my students! :)
