Hello everyone! My name is Lee-Andrea and I am a Native English speaker from the beautiful country of South Africa. I love to share my passion for teaching with my students and it makes me excited to see every type of improvement. I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors. I obtained my degree in Applied Social Sciences, I majored in Psychology and Sociology. I value education and learning and I enjoy helping people reach their goals. I have 5 years of online teaching experience. I started by volunteering to teach Social Science and English I have been working full-time as an online English teacher since 2020 and have loved every moment of it! I don't use a set curriculum. Instead, I have many different resources and I base every lesson on what you as the student need. I am always open to feedback or any changes in the lesson because I want to make sure we meet your goals. With me as your tutor, you will learn correct pronunciations from my neutral accent, which will help others understand you no matter where you go. I also focus a great deal on conversation and correct uses of everyday speech, but also more formal business language. You will be able to have a conversation with anyone, whether it is a stranger at the grocery store or your boss at work. Additionally, I have had many jobs working in a setting where I see many new English speakers. This has helped me come up with new and innovative methods to aid in understanding as well. During the trial lesson, I like to become acquainted and discover what your learning style is and how I can best help you. Everyone learns differently and has specific needs and interests, so in the trial lesson, these things are uncovered. Following that, I complete a lesson and assign a small amount of homework to help you remember what was learned. The trial lesson is quite fun and very interesting.
