Hello! Im Rea. I am a Japanese citizen born in the Philippines. I enjoy communicating with other nationalities in Japan and make new connections. I especially enjoy talking with children because of their natural curiosity about a wide range of topics. As a result, my desire to teach children, teenagers, young professionals, and even adults has been kindled. With my daily interactions with different people, I'm absolutely confident that my knowledge of their different culture will help me become a better teacher. I spent two years at Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku learning International Studies. And in order to evaluate my Japanese language skills, I took and passed the JLPT N3 examination. I'd like to assist you in enhancing your vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. I want to support you in your efforts to improve your communication skills and share in your small English-learning victories.
I spent two years teaching and interpreting lessons from English to Filipino and Filipino to English. Every Sunday, it is also my responsibility to teach lessons to our Japanese and English-speaking children at church. Given these two scenarios, I believe
First and foremost, I will allow my students to choose what they want to learn and the subject on which they want to focus. Nonetheless, I will provide regular feedback on their performance to show their development. I could also incorporate the use of tools or props to stir up the students' interest. Aside from that, I could try to relax a little and recognize that my students may have diverse interests. I also believe it is acceptable to laugh and have fun from time to time. Being relaxed may help my students stay interested in each lesson. Making an interactive class is also advantageous. As a teacher, I must give my students more time to speak than to listen. Above all, I must make each lesson relevant and applicable on their daily lives.
