Mike

Hello! I'm Mike, an English teacher from the US. I got my M.A in English Language Teaching and am a University of Cambridge Certified English teacher after successfully finishing my CELTA course. I also hold a 9 (full score) in the Academic module of the IELTS exam. I was born on January, 25th, 1993. I am a passionate English teacher who likes to teach students from different countries. My hobbies are socializing with people from different parts of the world, listening to music and travelling. I've been teaching English since 2015 at different universities, English schools and institutes. I received my master's degree in English Language Teaching and also, I did my Cambridge CELTA course in 2016. What's more, I've been teaching IELTS since 2018. I believe that the best way to learn English is to have students speak as much as possible so that they feel more comfortable and confident using it in different types of contexts, so in my general English classes, I mainly focus on communication and speaking, by integrating relevant topics into my classes. I plan to enable my students to mainly speak and also write, listen and read in English in different daily topics. In my IELTS preparation classes, on the other hand, I focus on the exam tips and tricks and provide my students with enough engaging and fun activities and practices to master them. In other words, I help my students master necessary techniques in dealing with listening, reading, speaking and writing questions. I also check my students' written and spoken work and provide feedback based on the exam criteria so that they know how their work will be assessed in the real exam. I provide my students with FREE necessary books and materials.
