Hi! My name is Max, I'm an English conversation tutor and TEFL teacher from the US. I am currently based in Valencia, Spain, where I work as an English Language Assistant. I previously lived in Richmond, Virginia where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am passionate about helping students achieve their English language learning goals through personalized learning. I love learning languages and am currently a B2 level Spanish speaker. In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, painting, cooking, spending time with friends, and attending live music shows. I also enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures and various ways of life. Teaching English allows me to connect with students from all over the world. I have taught English in Valencia, Spain, as an English Language Assistant. I currently work at a high school with students of various English levels and previously worked at a primary school. I have experience as an in school Reading Tutor in Richmond, Virginia. I also have experience teaching adults. I have a relaxed approach to teaching and I like to make my lessons student centered. My focus is on English conversation practice, but I also like to teach reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation skills. My lessons primarily consist of conversation discussions of various topics, grammar and vocabulary development, as well as use of the tenses. I like to tailor my lessons to the needs of my students and to make my lessons relevant and useful to real life contexts and situations.
