Luyanda Phiri

Hello, my name is Luyanda, 23 years of age. I am from a province called Mpumalanga in South Africa. I am passionate about teaching, mainly English because it was one subject I excelled in during my High school and Tertiary days. Besides teaching I love being in the outdoors exploring new things (hiking, sightseeing), reading new novels, learning about new cultures and cooking etc. I have an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts), my majors are Economics, English and Psychology. I furthered my studies and obtained my Postgraduate Certificate in Education where I majored in English Home Language and Economics. I am also TEFL certifi I use a more learner centred approach to teaching which means I use a method that caters to the students’ needs and requires the student and the teacher to interact during the lesson. My lessons will be fun and easy to understand. I will plan lessons according the the learners level of proficiency and make it interactive and interesting for them to learn a English.
