Hello language learners! My name is Lame and I'm from Botswana, a country in southern Africa with a rich blend of cultures and diversity. I am a tremendously keen English and Science enthusiast and have received numerous recognition awards for my high performance in the English subject over the course of my high-school years. I am currently studying towards by Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology in one of our local universities. Outside of academia, I have a passion for reading, traveling, and farming. Listening to good music is also my greatest hobby. I am a TEFL-certified English educator, with 12 months online teaching experience. Additionally, I possess 3 years of tutoring experience in English and Science under formal education. My exceptional English performance in the subject has set me apart as a standout communicator, distinguished by my ability to write and speak with exceptional clarity. Over the past 3 years I have engaged in secretary work, public speaking, and worked as a volunteer English and Integrated Science tutor to selected high school students in my local country. Throughout my tutoring career, I have developed strong knowledge and proficiency in using online teaching platforms, to also accommodate for and create effective virtual classes. I adopt a wide range of teaching methods depending on an individual student's learning needs. Lesson structures and plans will flexibly incorporate both the test-teach-test approach and the task-based learning methodology, integrating communicative-language teaching principles to enhance both grammatical accuracy and fluency in both spoken and written English. All lesson plans will be structured with Total Physical Response (TPR) being a core principal basis, as it facilitates effective learning by boosting memory retention and an uplifting classroom atmosphere. I am a very proactive young woman and I pride myself in possessing strong grammar and vocabulary skills, that I am strongly confident will foster a learning environment in my classroom. Additionally, I am highly organized and I employ dynamic teaching approaches to accommodate the diverse learning needs of my students. My classroom is a safe space to make mistakes, so do not hold back. I will patiently guide you through them.
