I am a native English speaker from Cape Town, South Africa. In addition to teaching language, I am also a language learner myself, I also speak Afrikaans fluently, some German and some Dutch! I usually teach teenagers and adults, helping them improve their English, whether for professional reasons (your job or career) or for a personal interest. I am easy to talk to and quite open-minded. I prepare lessons tailored to your needs, whether you are looking to improve your grammar, pronunciation or anything else. I also give you detailed feedback and methods that you can use to improve your language skills. I am a certified ESL teacher with a TEFL-certified teaching certificate. I have taught many people over the years, from children, to much older adults who were trying to improve their English skills for their job. I have also taught people from all over the world, so I have some knowledge of the specific issues that target people who speak certain languages e.g Spanish. I like to have flexible, but structured lessons. I prepare a range of material depending on your requests, as well as what I think you may need help with or improvement on. We change things up during lessons, as well as just have casual conversation with corrections and tips if you like! I like to prepare various kinds of material, whether its from specialised vocabulary that students like to learn, to poetry, short stories and even books/book extracts. I believe that there is something valuable to be learnt from these various aspects of the English language. So whatever your goal may be, I am sure I can help you get there!
