Hello! My name is Julius, and I originally hail from South Africa but am currently based in Houston, Texas. I have a rich background in education, having taught English to primary and high school students in China from 2018 to 2021. In addition to my work in-person, I also teach business English online for a French company, which I’ve been doing since 2018.
In my free time, I’m passionate about golf and proudly hold a 12 handicap. I also enjoy watching movies and taking leisurely walks to unwind. I look forward to connecting and sharing experiences!
I have a diverse background in education, having taught English to primary and high school students in China from 2018 to 2021. In addition to my in-person teaching, I also provide business English instruction online for a French company, a role I’ve enjoyed since 2018.
Academically, I hold an undergraduate degree, an honors degree, and an MBA, all in Business Management, along with a TEFL certificate.
As a teacher, my approach is centered on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.
I prioritize interaction and encourage students to actively participate in discussions, fostering a dynamic learning atmosphere.
I adapt my teaching methods to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student, ensuring that everyone can progress at their own pace.
I focus on practical language use, especially in business English, grammar, vocabulary, tenses, providing relevant examples and scenarios that students may encounter in their professional lives.
I believe in the importance of feedback for growth. I provide constructive critiques to help students improve their skills and boost their confidence.
Having taught in different countries, I integrate cultural elements into my lessons, enriching the learning experience and broadening students’ perspectives.
My goal is to build a positive rapport with my students, encouraging them to express themselves confidently.
