Jon Jeffries

Hi, my name is Jon and I'm from Yorkshire in the UK. I have been teaching for over 25 years, firstly in Primary Schools in England, and, since 2010, in a variety of countries as an English Language teacher. I have taught students from age 5 - 50 and levels from A2 to C1. I love all sports, although unfortunately my body is telling me I need to watch rather than take part these days. If you would like fun, and interactive lessons, call on me. I’m easy-going, with a dry sense of humor that often brings a smile to my lessons. While I strive for organization, I know that flexibility is key in teaching, and I am always ready to adapt to the needs of my students. I pride myself on being approachable and friendly, building strong rapport with my students, except maybe those from Lancashire—but that’s all in good fun! over 25 years of experience teaching English in various countries, including the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, China, and Morocco. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science, a PGCE in Primary Education, and a CELTA certification. Currently, I am furthering my expertise by studying for a DELTA. I believe that learning should be an enjoyable and engaging experience. My lessons are designed to be fun and interactive, often following the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) or TBL (Task-Based Learning) methodologies. These approaches ensure that my students not only learn effectively but also retain their newfound knowledge in practical, real-world scenarios. With a wealth of international teaching experience, I bring a unique perspective to the classroom. My background allows me to adapt my teaching to suit diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds, ensuring that each student feels comfortable and confident. I am committed to helping students improve their English language skills, whether for academic, professional, or personal purposes.
