I'm from Canada but right now I live in Mexico. In my free time, I enjoy watching or playing sports. I also like to travel and experience things from different cultures. Another thing I find interesting is learning about science or history, so I love watching a good documentary. Meeting new people is a lot of fun, especially when I can hear their experiences or learn about the job that they have. If I have free time, something that I do a lot is play different types of video games. But my favorite games require me to use my mind by doing things like solving puzzles or organizing things.
I have spent more than 15 years as an ESL teacher. I have taught English to students of all levels and backgrounds for about 20 years in Mexico. But I have also taught classes online, so I have helped students from many countries. For example, China, France, Turkey, Colombia, Spain, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, U.S.A, Taiwan, Mexico, Russia, Sweden and many others. I have had the chance to learn many new things for teaching English and I have received several certificates. Some of the certificates I have inlcude TESOL, TEFL, and a S.E.P(Secretary of public education in Mexico) CENNI certification.
In my classes I like to help students develop their skills in Grammar, Vocabulary, Speaking, Reading and Writing. I like to create situations for the student that will help them feel more natural and comfortable to use the information that we are discussing in the class by relating things to every day situations the student might experience.
