Jan Brink

I'm Jan Brink and I'm from South Africa. I like to spend time in nature and to go for hikes. I also like working in my garden. I've been involved in teaching on different levels and I enjoy the interaction with people. One of my goals as a teacher is to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for students and for myself. I will go out of my way to assist anyone who wants to learn English. I have the ability to relate to people of different ages. I look forward to meeting you. I have taught in South Africa at secondary school level I have a B degree. My major subjects are Psychology and Criminology. I also have a Higher Diploma in Education and at one time I specialised in Zoology and Botany. I also have a TEFL qualification that enables me to teach English as a foreign language. I am fully bilingual and speak both English and Afrikaans daily. I first determine what the goals and needs of students are and then relate the focus of my lessons to those needs and goals. I am able to assist students with improving their conversational skills, as well as, extending their vocabulary and grammatical knowledge. I can tutor from basic to advanced levels.
