I am Farhad Ullah from Pakistan doing my Ph.D. in applied linguistics at University Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia.
I am teaching English language from the last 15 years at different international institutions. Currently I am working as an English lecturer at Jazan university, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The success of teaching depends on interactions between a teacher and students throughout the session. To get students’ attention and participation, I engage them (questioning), and use resources (audio-visual aids etc.) that could awake the students’ senses. The use of maximum senses while learning helps the learning material stay longer in one’s memory. In my teaching, with the ideas presented in the books, I always make efforts to develop students’ critical thinking. In the very opening of any topic, I relate it with students’ routinely matters (asking questions, showing images or playing videos) where they take it as an important element of life and get themselves connected with the ideas therein.
