Good day! My name is Ellene. I finished my Master of Arts in Education major in English Education in one of the top international universities in the Philippines. I have been teaching English for twenty years now. In these twenty years, I have had the privilege of teaching students from different levels and nationalities.
I had been an academic instructor in a university's high school department and took the roles of a subject teacher, a choir director, a homeroom adviser, a club mentor, and an area head for the English Department. I taught academic subjects such as Asian Music, English Literature, Research Writing, English Communication Skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening) and English as a Second Language. Aside from my teaching roles, I also managed the speech laboratory for ESL classes and supervised co-curricular activities for theater and student publication groups.
I am a student-centered educator. I prepare lessons according to the learners individual learning style. As such, I encourage learners to tell me how they want to learn and what strategies work for them. With that, we can study in the most effective way.
