I am 28-year-old female living in the beautiful coastal city of Durban, South Africa. I hold a postgraduate sciences degree in Environmental Management which I obtained in 2022 (yay me). You know, as I grow older, I find myself appreciating the little things in life more and more. I mean, who would have thought that something as simple as enjoying good food, getting a good night's sleep, or losing myself in a captivating book could bring so much happiness? Especially with everything that's been happening in the world, I believe we all deserve a little escape from reality every now and then. As for my profession, I've been working as an English teacher for a little over 5 years now, and I must say, I absolutely love it. It's not just about teaching grammar and vocabulary, it's about creating a safe and welcoming environment for my students to As we converse, I take note of everything you say, whether you phrased it correctly or not. Towards the end of the lesson, we can go over these notes together. It's important to acknowledge that different individuals have varying preferences when it comes to being corrected on the spot. In my approach, by jotting down your thoughts as you speak, I strive to provide you with the opportunity to express yourself freely without any interruptions that might interfere with your train of thought. Finding the right balance between offering corrections without making you feel self-conscious or doubting your abilities is crucial. By waiting until the end to review the notes, you can see both your strengths and areas for improvement. More often than not, you will be able to identify the errors and make corrections with minimal guidance from me. Ultimately, my goal is to empower you to independently recognize and rectify any mistakes.
