My name is Cassidi and I am from the gorgeous country of South Africa. I have a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of South Africa and I am TEFL qualified. I have obtained skills over the period of four years where I worked in junior and senior phase schools helping develop young minds. My teaching style is student-focused learning, this allows students to actively participate in learning. I also enjoy developing new techniques that work well in the classroom, in which allows students to understand and grow. I am artistic, I love to draw, as well as create craft projects. My interests include going on adventures and taking sight-seeing vacations exploring other cultures and diversities. I enjoy new experiences and activities such as hiking and jet skiing ensuring my mind is healthy and active. My go to technique before presenting a lesson is having a well prepared lesson plan, this ensures that I have a road map of what students need to know and how I will execute it during the lesson. I will identify the main objective of the lesson, develop teaching and learning activities as well as use strategies to check students understanding, such as pop –quiz activities. My teaching style includes student-focused learning, which ensures independence and life-long learning. I believe students succeed when what they learn has meaning towards them. This allows students to become leaders and make decisions based on what they have learnt and understood. During lessons, students may experience learning that may have relevance to their lives and how to use what they have learnt in their futures. Students will have clear and simple instructions before they attempt a lesson activity. Overall students will experience a warm and welcoming learning environment.
