Carmen

My name is Carmen. I am from Venezuela. I love teaching, it is my passion and vocation. I like to read everything, magazines, novels, articles on different topics. I also like to cook for my family and friends. I love meeting people from other countries and different cultures. I am an English teacher for young students in their first year of secondary school. In my country, it is the first year of studies after children finish their primary education studies. I have more than 10 years of experience teaching Spanish to people from different countries around the world and of different ages, especially between the ages of 20 and 40. For me, it is a great joy when a student progresses and can communicate fluently and comfortably, with confidence in the use of the language. In my classes I focus on the needs of my students and on what they really want to learn, whether it is for work reasons, or for traveling and sightseeing, or for other reasons. Some classes can be just conversational, or they can combine grammar and conversation, or reading or songs, or discussions on some topic of interest to the student. It is Spanish for life.
