I'm passionate, open-minded, flexible and patient. I try to look at things in a positive way. I think this arises out of my previous work experiences, and my exposure to different cultures. I highly value the opportunities that I've encountered. My work ethic is to be considerate and fair. I know that being a teacher is to be a role model for students. As an educator, I believe it's important to combine academic learning with good guidance, so I try to assist my students throughout their learning. I'm aware of the responsibilities of a teacher, such as keeping students safe, happy and motivated. My priority is to meet their desired outcomes, shaped according to their needs and goals. I gained my practical teaching experience in classroom settings, teaching primary students at different levels for over three years back home. Here in Cambodia I teach English to both Beginners and Intermediate students, however I'm also capable of teaching Upper- Intermediate and Advanced-level English. I've been working as an English tutor for over a year. Additionally, I also work in Singapore way back in 2012 until 2016. I adapt my teaching style according to the needs, knowledge and capabilities of individual students, especially their ability to convey information about themselves. In my classes I welcome the mutual exchange of ideas. I respect and encourage different opinions and allow my students to speak freely without feeling overly worried about making mistakes as these are an integral part the learning process. I believe the power of motivation can change a person's mind and my intention is to make class time pleasurable for all for my students. Hence I provide encouragement, presenting exciting, engaging, student-centered lessons. supporting students as they strive to achieve their desired goals.
