Afroditi Tsagiannidou

My name is Aphrodite, I am 29 years old and a native Greek speaker. I was born and raised in Greece, where I also completed my education up to my BA at the Democritus University of Thrace. During my BA, I focused on Russian Literature and Culture, and later continued my studies in International Relations at Moscow State Linguistic University. I am passionate about languages, culture and traveling. I have six years of experience teaching Greek in group and individual classes and three years of teaching Russian as a second foreign language. For the last three years I have been working at the Greek Cultural Center of Moscow as a teacher of Greek as a second foreign language. Experience teaching children from 6 years old and adults up to 70 years and older. My intention is to help people learn a language in a simple and easy way by providing logical and clear explanations and creating a mindset that will help students continue learning individually even after our courses have been completed. I structure the lessons so that there is always a bright and joyful part where we can interact freely, joke in the target language and create the opportunity to experience the real basics of speaking and using the language as in real life. I carefully consider any potential learning difficulties or unique ways of learning that each student may use and make sure to include tools in my lessons to help students progress. This may include different types of structure during lessons, examples or alternative explanations, etc. I am open to answering any possible questions you may have.
