My name is Gerardane Ylaya, and I am an experienced ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher. I am passionate about helping non-native English speakers improve their language skills and achieve their goals In my previous role as an ESL teacher at Elamp Philippines, I planned and implemented engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of students with varying proficiency levels. I believe in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to participate actively. Throughout my teaching career, I have used a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technology to enhance student learning. I am skilled in incorporating interactive activities, multimedia tools, and real-life scenarios to make language learning practical and enjoyable. I am proud to have worked with diverse student populations, including children, teenagers, and adults from different cultural backgrounds. This experience has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. My lessons and teaching style vary depending on the age and proficiency level of my students. I used Communicative Approach to everyone young or old, I always emphasize real-life communication and interaction in the English language. Encourage students to practice speaking, listening, and reading through meaningful activities and tasks. and Scaffolding Instruction where I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and provide clear instructions and explanations. Gradually increase the difficulty level as students progress, ensuring that they have a solid foundation before moving on to more challenging tasks.
