Hello! My name is Cynthia, and I’m 36 years old. I am an English teacher, and I absolutely love making new friends, as it teaches me about different cultures and fosters tolerance for our differences.
I am here to help you improve your conversational and business English skills. We will accomplish this through engaging activities such as reading and reviewing novels, discussing current affairs, and exploring various topics that interest you. I believe that learning should be interactive and enjoyable, so I'm excited to embark on this journey with you!
While I currently do not have formal teaching experience, I am passionate about teaching English and have taken significant steps to prepare myself for a successful career in this field. I hold a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from TEFL Universal, where I specialized in effective ESL teaching methods and techniques.
Additionally, I have earned several certificates from the British Council that further enhance my qualifications. These include:
1. Certificate in Teaching English Through Literature - This course focused on integrating literature into the ESL curriculum to enhance language acquisition and foster a love for reading among students.
2. Certificate in Lesson Planning - This program provided me with the tools to design effective, engaging, and structured ESL lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
Alongside my teaching qualifications, I hold a degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This allows me ti incorporate business english
My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on fostering an engaging and supportive classroom environment where learners feel comfortable and motivated to participate. I believe in adapting my teaching methods to suit the diverse needs of my students, ensuring that each individual can progress at their own pace.
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT): Drawing from my training in effective ESL teaching methods, I employ a communicative approach that emphasizes real-life communication. I encourage students to practice speaking and listening through pair work, group discussions, and role-play activities. This helps to build their confidence and improves their conversational skills.
Integration of Literature: With my Certificate in Teaching English Through Literature, I incorporate literary texts into my lessons to enhance language acquisition. By using stories, poems, and plays, I aim to spark students' interest in reading while providing context for vocabulary and grammar. Literature
