Rashrika Perumal

I am an aspiring English foreign language teacher from South Africa. I also have a BCom degree in Fashion which I studied because of my love for fashion and interest in business. I always loved helping my peers learn different topics in school and university and was always the friend they relied on for the help. I am creative, friendly and patient and always have a lot of passion for the work I do. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, listening to podcasts and music. I have experience as a tutor. I tutored accounting during university and my passion for teaching grew from here. I decided to study TEFL while awaiting graduation for my degree because I saw it as an opportunity to make teaching a career, as the joy I got Students can expect my lessons to feature a variety of concepts which encompass the four areas of English - writing, speaking, reading and listening. I will grow their grammar knowledge and skills through structured lesson plans and worksheets, develop their conversational skills through open discussions, expose the students to reading materials and video materials to strengthen and expose them to the language more. They can expect my lessons to be engaging, fun and presented in a simple manner. I am patient, creative and attentive so will tailor my lessons to my students to best benefit them and help them understand.
