I’ve been teaching Spanish for years, working with individuals and groups, both in-person and online, and with students from all over the world, from teenagers to adults. What I love most about my job is that it’s more than just teaching a language—it’s about building connections.
Through every lesson, I get to share not only my native language but also the richness of my culture, while learning so much in return from my students about their own traditions, perspectives, and experiences. Teaching Spanish online has opened up incredible opportunities to create a global classroom, where every interaction feels like a cultural exchange.
Whether I’m helping someone master tricky grammar or dive into the nuances of expressions, it’s amazing to see their confidence grow. Watching my students use Spanish in real-life situations makes it all worth it.
I’ve been teaching Spanish for over 13 years, working with students from all walks of life, including travelers, professionals, and university students. I started teaching in Cusco, Peru, at a Spanish school, where I worked with groups and individuals, including medical students from U.S. universities. Later, I taught in Oaxaca, Mexico, before transitioning to online teaching during COVID, which has allowed me to connect with students worldwide.
I hold a diploma for teaching Spanish, certified by the government of Peru, and I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Spanish language teaching at UNIR (Universidad Internacional de La Rioja). With this experience and training, I tailor each lesson to meet my students’ goals, whether they’re learning for work, travel, or personal growth.
In my Spanish classes, I love using a variety of materials to make every lesson dynamic and effective. I work with trusted resources like Aula Internacional Plus books, vocabulary cards, text documents with exercises, and even PowerPoint presentations that I design specifically for my classes.
What makes my lessons unique is that I personalize all these materials to match the needs, interests, and goals of each student. For instance, if a student wants to improve their Spanish for work, I create exercises and examples tailored to their professional field. If someone is learning for travel, we focus on practical vocabulary and real-life scenarios they’re likely to encounter.
My goal is to make each lesson not just educational but also meaningful and motivating. I want my students to feel that they’re learning something relevant to their daily lives while building confidence to use Spanish in any context.
