Ashlen Ngwenya

I am a 21 year old South African, who is greatly passionate about education. I love to travel and experience new place and take part in different culturally different experiences, and teaching English affords me the opportunity to not only follow my dreams but to contribute to making a difference in the lives of others. I started teaching as a volunteer at the local church for 2 consecutive years, and then went onto teach as an educators assistant at the local school as well, which mainly focused on children the ages of 6 to 15. I have also tutored teenagers and adults, during my spare time. I love to use the TPR teaching method during my lessons, and that is the Total Physical Response method which allows for interaction to take place between myself and my students. I love ensuring that my students have a comfortable environment to learn in, where we are able to have discussions and conversations, make use of visual aid and presentations, and also allow for constructive criticism to take place. All of this has been evident through my experience to ensure growth in my students English language learning journey.
