Yaaseen Laher

My name is Muhammed Yaaseen Laher from South Africa. I am a psychology graduate and hold a 180 hour TEFL certificate. I am a driven and passionate individual who is constantly looking for oppertunities to grow and develop myself. I believe that learning is an ongoing, life long endeavour and I strive to learn and develop as many different skills as I possibly can. I love a challenge and always look for jobs that require me to be dynamic and adaptable while applying my creativity and problem solving skills. I have three of experience tutoring/teaching both highschool and university students. I have taught subjects like English, History, Biology and Psychology both online and in person over the years. Furthermore I was hired by my university in 2022 to facilitate supplementary instruction and learning sessions bi-weekly via MSTeams. Additionally I have utilised my self learned website design skills to create a website for my own online tutoring agency in 2023. I have a TEFL certificate and used the principals taught to me in it to facilitate my classes. I have three of experience tutoring/teaching both highschool and university students. I have taught subjects like English, History, Biology and Psychology both I focus on covering the content of a lesson and getting a point across in a rather enjoyable and easily digestible way. I often keep my lessons very casual and comfortable and use a conversational style/approach to keep learners engaged. I prefer to center my lessons and content around practicality and make use of a lot examples from my personal life.
