Together in our lessons we'll break down any barriers you may have, connecting with English in a personal way, boosting your confidence and having fun while doing it! I really love my job as an English Teacher - the chance to help people to perhaps find a new job or study abroad, travel more confidently, or even to communicate with friends and family. Language is such an integral part of our lives and such a complex and interesting topic! I would say I have 3 main passions in life, which are; - Firstly, music (I love going to a festivals and music events) - Also, cooking (I’ve worked as a chef previously also) - And last but not least, travelling (I love to explore new places whenever I get the chance!) Before I became an English teacher I worked in over 60 different companies in a wide range of roles, across many different industries. Since completing my TEFL qualification in February 2023 I’ve been teaching students both in-class and online (ages 12-75 years old). My lessons mainly focus on speaking whilst simultaneously practising your listening skills through authentic conversations with a Native English speaker, and we’ll also read news articles and watch videos on interesting subjects related to the lesson topic. We'll engage in lively discussions that aim to simulate real-life situations, and I strive to create an atmosphere without fear of judgement or limits on the subjects we can discuss. You'll develop fluency, gain confidence, and refine your pronunciation as we also explore different accents and dialects from around the English-speaking world. I always aim to make my lessons as interesting and enjoyable as possible - actively encouraging students to express themselves, ask questions and bring their own interests to our discussions. Classes are tailored to the student’s needs in terms of the content, pace, and difficulty - it all depends on your goals and how you want to learn.
