Let's discuss what kind of learner you are, my teaching methodology, and my ideas to help you achieve your aspirations, and see if you feel there is something to be learned here. I can also speak Vietnamese at a C1 level so I am happy to teach that too if anyone is interested in learning.
I've been teaching English for the past 8 years, and I have been solely focused on teaching students to pass the IELTS exam for the past 5 years. I have completed formal IELTS teacher training, I have a 120-hour TEFL certificate and I am working towards a CELTA.
As a teacher, I think it's important to make sure the student is aware of and understands their goals when learning English, and that both I as a teacher and my students as learners can follow a clear roadmap to track their progression towards their goals. My teaching style is heavily focused on the student learning more about themselves and exploring different ways to study until they find something that sticks. Some people learn better by listening, some people learn better by moving, etc. Do you know what kind of learner you are? If so, are you utilizing that knowledge to develop your learning and to help you study in the most efficient way possible? Let's go through the process together and you might just learn something about yourself that you didn't know!
