Atakem Silfa

My name is Silfa, I'm from Cameroon. I am 29years old and I'm a teacher by profession and occupation. I have been teaching for three years onsite and one year online via WhatsApp to help especially examination class students prepare for their exams.Teaching is one of my most practiced activities because it gives me much joy helping people achieving their goals in life and especially the goal of speaking english fluently. I'm a prospect holder of a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Buea Cameroon. Also, I have undergone a training on how to teach english as a foreign language (TEFL) upon which a certificate was given to me, meaning I'm TELF certified. Also, I'm a counselor by calling. I counsel people on academic bases, family, social relationships and a bit of marital counsel based on marital experience. I'm a very optimistic, passionate, trustworthy, welcoming, understanding, friendly, enthusiastic and fond to be with person. I love singing, site seeing and dancing. I am a teacher by profession with three years of teaching experience. I am a prospect holder of a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Buea Cameroon and will be graduating by december. I have been a teacher in Baptist High school (BHS) great soppo Buea Cameroon in. Also, I have taught in Government Technical High School (GTHS) Molyko Buea Cameroon. Currently, I am a member of a student organization named SETA where I have taught them how to make liquid soap as well as constantly counselling on how to maintain focus as youths which is an additional skill from my teaching skill. Furthermore, I am a certified TEFL teacher and with a category C2 of english proficiency. Moreso, I am a holder of a diploma in Secretaryship/Administrative assistant, meaning I'm a computer literate. My classes we be very fun and exciting, interactive and purpose driven. Knowing how difficult it might be to learn a second language, my classes will be design in such a way that students will be comfortable and confident to speak during classes either asking questions for clarity or for better understanding which will be answered without inconveniences. During our classes, there will be a lot of cooperative learning relating daily activities to the classroom for almost comprehension. Our lessons will be more of learner-centered thereby practicing the competence based approach. During our classes, we will be focusing more on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I have a good mastery of classroom management which will enable us to be time conscious and to study what was expected to be taught within the required time frame.
