I'm originally from South Africa and America. I LOVE teaching and meeting students from all around the world. I love (and teach) English, music, astronomy, science and nature. I love extreme sports like skydiving and racing fast motorcycles. I have lived and taught English in Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam and also in Phuket in Thailand. I am very experienced in teaching large class groups and also smaller, or even individual lessons. I am certified as a TESOL, TEFL and ESL teacher and I have 5 I think it is VERY important to choose a learning subject that the student is interested in. My lessons are custom-made to suit my student’s needs. Each of my lessons is formatted in the same way: 1) I introduce new vocabulary (words). 2) I show HOW to say/ pronounce them, 3) I show WHAT part of speech they are (verbs, nouns, adjectives…) and help the student to USE these new words in short sentences. It’s important to remember that each lesson/student is different and I like to try to find exactly where my lessons can help the student to improve the most. English is an easy language when you understand the rules. My goal as a teacher is to help the student SEE and HEAR their results as soon as possible because this really helps to keep my students motivated. I am very patient and don’t like to rush our lessons.
