Hello there. My name is Kea, and I am an English tutor from South Africa. I consider myself a very friendly, outgoing, and outspoken person. I enjoy being a public speaker as well as a theatre performer. Furthermore, I enjoy being outdoors and interacting with new people. I hold a TEFL teaching certification. I have +3 years of tutoring experience. I am a true believer that the journey of learning never ends. I have worked directly with any student who needed additional assistance in their grammar, reading, and comprehension skills. Additionally, I have helped students who needed to learn English for travel or business. My passion and purpose are to better the students that I work with as much as possible. I encourage additional resources, advice and engagement from both students and parents. I am flexible and easy to reach, therefore, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or to book a tutoring session. I am a very engaging and understanding tutor, and I try to do everything I can to make learning English a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans in which I introduce the topic in a fun and interactive way and then explicitly teach the material. After the lesson, I let the student practice the material on their own. I only test students once the topic has been covered and they have had the chance to practice independently. However, this method can be adjusted based on every student's needs.
