I’m a 28-year-old South African from the beautiful, tropical town of Tzaneen. I hold a degree in Psychology and English, and I’m currently pursuing my teaching degree. My passion for education drives me to create meaningful learning experiences for my students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time immersed in music, reading various genres, and challenging myself with a good game of chess
As a student teacher, I taught both Language and Life Orientation to high school students. My role in Language instruction involved fostering students' reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, while also promoting effective communication. I used a variety of teaching techniques, from group discussions to creative writing exercises, to engage students and make the subject accessible and enjoyable. In Life Orientation, I helped students navigate important topics like personal development, social issues, and career planning, focusing on building their self-awareness and decision-making abilities in a supportive environment.
Additionally, I tutored university students in Psychology, guiding them through complex theories and research methods. I offered one-on-one and small-group sessions, helping students understand key psychological concepts and apply them to case studies and practical scenarios.
My lessons are interactive, student-centered, and tailored to the individual needs of each learner. I focus on building a strong foundation in English, incorporating reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities that are both practical and engaging. I use a mix of discussions, creative exercises, multimedia resources, and real-world examples to make learning enjoyable and relevant.
My teaching style is supportive and flexible, encouraging students to participate actively, think critically, and express themselves confidently. I believe in creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. Whether you're looking to improve academic English, conversational skills, or prepare for exams, my goal is to guide you towards success while fostering a genuine love for language.
