Hello, I’m Teacher Daisy, and I’m thrilled to support you on your English learning journey! I am a TEFL-certified English tutor, having achieved my certification with High Distinction, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting. I’m also a native of sunny South Africa, a country known for its incredible diversity, with 11 official languages. I speak six of these languages—English, Afrikaans, Setswana, Sotho, Zulu, and Xhosa. In South Africa, being multilingual is a highly valuable skill as it enables us to connect across different cultures and communicate effectively in both professional and informal settings. This experience allows me to understand the challenges of learning a new language and the value of connecting with people through language. I believe it’s never too early or too late to start learning a new language, regardless of your age! I’m a TEFL-certified English tutor with high distinction and offline experience in tutoring English and Mathematics. Growing up in South Africa’s diverse classrooms, I’ve learned to embrace and respect cultural differences, which shapes my teaching approach. My offline tutoring taught me that each student has unique needs, so I focus on adapting my methods to best support each learner. Many of my students needed English for both their language classes and other academic subjects, and I saw firsthand how improving their English comprehension boosted their performance across subjects. I enjoy helping students not only succeed in English but also build confidence for their overall studies. Working as a private tutor, I realized that flexibility is key—unlike in traditional classrooms, where adaptation can be limited. My goal is always to tailor lessons so each student can thrive and reach their full potential. I specialize in teaching English to children aged 6-11, teens aged 12-17, and university students. As a student myself, I understand the demands of academic life! I also offer Conversational Practice and General English for learners of all ages, as these often overlap. My lessons cover essential language skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—and include grammar support as needed. I use flexible teaching methods like the flipped classroom, collaborative learning, and the demonstrator approach. These styles make learning interactive, tailored, and engaging, and I often adjust my approach based on each learner’s preferences. I believe a structured, yet fun, environment keeps students motivated and helps them reach their goals. In addition, I provide support with English homework, essays, speeches, and other assignments.
