Hey there! My name’s Moussa, and I’m a 21-year-old English teacher with a few years of experience under my belt. I was born and raised in the U.S., but now I’m calling Morocco home. When I’m not helping students learn the English language, you can usually find me gaming, voice acting, or tinkering with some code.
I've had the opportunity to teach English in various settings, both online and in person. I've taught students of all ages and backgrounds, from young children to adults. My teaching experience includes:
- Personal Website: I offered English language courses and tutoring services through my personal website. This gave me the flexibility to create personalized curricula and connect directly with students.
- Private School: I've taught English at Juan de la Cierva, a private school in Morocco. Here, I worked with students of different levels and ages, developed lesson plans, graded assignments, and participated in school activities.
In addition to my practical experience, I also hold an EF SET international recognized English certificate, which demonstrates my proficiency in the English language.
I believe in a fun and engaging approach to language learning that prioritizes active participation and real-life application. My teaching methods often incorporate:
- Gamification: Using games, quizzes, and competitions to make learning enjoyable and competitive.
- Role-playing: Simulating real-world scenarios to practice language skills in a meaningful context.
- Frequent Speaking Practice: Encouraging students to speak regularly and providing constructive feedback.
- Authentic Materials: Using real-world materials like news articles, songs, and movies to expose students to authentic language.
