Melissa Smith

Hi everyone! I am Melissa but you can call me teacher Mel. I am 23 years old and I am born and raised in South Africa. I love drawing, painting and making art. I love teaching, as well as learning, new things. I am super passionate about teaching English as a second language as I get to learn about other people's cultures and traditions as well. I am TEFL certified and have also completed the following certificates: Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), Classroom Management, Teaching Special Needs Education, and Educational Psychology. I have even obtained a Bachelor's degree in Visual Art which is where my creative teaching comes from. I have taught informal art lessons for 2 years from home and I am currently an online English teacher and have been teaching online for 8 months now. I believe that every students learns differently. Therefore, I have a very diverse teaching style which allows me to adapt to each student's learning style. I will get to know each student for who they are and how they learn best. I would focus on the student's learning goals as well as their learning method.
