Hafsa Haleemdeen

Hi Everyone!! I'm Hafsa. I'm from Sri Lanka. I am an undergraduate of Software Engineering but a teacher by passion. Since high school, I have been a teacher. I work with kids, teaching them English and I love working with kids. I make the class very interactive by using a lot of fun activities to keep the student engaged. My goal every day is to have a positive impact on young people. Therefore, I am highly motivated to work as a Teacher. I believe that I can perform as an excellent educator, and I hope to contribute as much as possible to help in the positive development and growth of my students. I have been a teacher for about 4 years. I worked as a primary educator for 2 years at a reputed school, teaching English, Math, Science, Environmental studies, Health and physical education. I have been working as a private Online tutor for 4 years. Throughout my years spent in teaching, I have gained a lot of skills needed for teaching primary students and I love working with students and I look forward to working as well. Teaching English to primary school students is challenging for many as these students are in the formative years of their education. Using a lot of creative ways could help keep the students engaged. Here are a few tips I use to make keep the process creative. I use a lot of pictures and visuals that could attract kids and keep them attentive in class. I tell a lot of stories, read aloud and use games to keep students engaged. I give them the flexibility to learn. You need to understand that no two students have the same learning ability. Some students can grasp concepts faster than others but that should not mean that you expect the same results from all your students. So, I ensure that all my students are accepted as per their ability to learn.
