My name is Dolly and I come from South Africa. I am 52 years old, and I have always loved learning and teaching. Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by languages and the way people communicate with each other. This interest led me to persue a career in teaching, and now I teach English to students from all over the world. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all ages and levels. Some of my students are children just starting to learn English, while others are adults who need English for their work or travel. In my free time, I like to keep myself busy with various activities. I believe that having hobbies is important because they help us relax and enjoy life outside of work. My hobbies are reading , listening to music and cooking In my career of teaching, I have taught in many different schools around my country. To name just a few, I have taught at Qalakabusha High school, teaching grade 10s. I have taught in adult school, teaching adults English for work purposes. I have taught English for more than ten years. Currently I am teaching English online as an independent tutor. And I also teach English on Preply. I am a qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Pedagogics and I hold a TEFL certificate. From my lessons students can expect interactive and student- centered learning, students participate in the learning process, rather than just listening to me talking. Students can expect clear explanations and practical examples. When introducing new concepts such as grammar rules or vocabulary, I provide clear and simple explanations. They can expect a variety of activities. A typical lesson will include a variety of activities to keep students engaged and help them practice different language skills. My focus is on speaking and pronunciation but not limited to. I also take into consideration listening comprehension, grammar and vocabulary expansion. I focus on practical communication skills ensuring that students practice speaking, listening, reading and writing in every lesson.
