Charmelle

Hello! My name is Charmelle, and I’m excited to be your English teacher. I have completed a 120 hour TEFL certification, I am currently in my final year as a psychological counselling student. This background has equipped me with a great deal of patience and understanding, which I believe are crucial qualities for an effective teacher. I have a diverse professional background, having worked as a data collector, administrative and invoicing clerk, and information help desk agent in the retail sector. These roles have honed my organizational skills and my ability to communicate clearly and effectively. I thoroughly enjoy literature and believe that a strong grasp of language can open many doors. I am an avid traveler, eager to see the world beyond my home country of South Africa. Though I haven’t yet traveled internationally, I dream of visiting Italy. I imagine spending serene days on Lake Como, basking in the Tuscan sun, and strolling along charming cobblestone streets. I became a certified English teacher four months ago and have since gained experience teaching students of various ages and proficiency levels. I have successfully utilized platforms such as Preply and Native Camp to deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual learning needs. My focus has been on creating interactive and supportive learning environments that encourage students to develop their language skills with confidence. My teaching style encourages you to try things on your own first; I’m here to guide and support you if you encounter difficulties. This approach is designed to help you build confidence in your abilities and foster a sense of independence in your learning journey.
