Certified ESL teacher having taught all age groups including Business English to professionals and exam prep for the Cambridge, TOEFL and GMAT exams. I love teaching and helping my students to reach their language goals. Learning a new language should be fun and educational. I am fluent in Portuguese which I have found useful for pronunciation skills. I am punctual to a fault and rarely miss a class. My general knowledge is vast which also helps when teaching. I prepare students for job interviews and write a more effective resume. I started my career as a translator and after a few years, I qualified to become an ESL teacher. I have had the privilege of teaching children and adults all over the world. I love what I do because I have contact with new cultures and people. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students reach their language objectives. I am a mother of three boys and five sisters which helps me to have the patience to deal with any situation. I love the outdoors and am an avid gardener. All of these traits help me to be a better teacher. My overall teaching method is PPP ( presentation, practice, and production) including the Individual and Technology Based Learning Method. These methods are more practical than theoretical which provides a faster learning method. I have found that by focusing on students' oral and communication skills, they can improve their speaking skills quickly. As I have learned a second language, Portuguese, I can spot problems and issues when communicating in another language, therefore making the process easier.
