I’m a highly ambitious and adventurous individual from South Africa, and I’m passionate about both teaching and exploring the world around me. In my free time, I enjoy the calm of reading, watching movies and appreciating the arts. I also love the excitement of trying different cuisines and immersing myself in new cultures. I’m a patient, focused teacher who never gives up and brings a persevering spirit to everything I do. I encourage the same resilience in my students, believing that with my motivation, they can reach their full potential. I aim to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I have almost 5 years teaching experience. I have tutored and taught all ages from kids to adults. I hold a TEFL teaching certificate and a formal qualification in Management. My teaching philosophy emphasizes fostering critical thinking and creativity by creating an engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to grow and succeed. I build strong connections with students by actively listening and showing genuine interest in their learning, creating a foundation of trust and mutual respect. As an open-minded, patient and innovative teacher, I excel at tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. I focus on language use in real-life situations, promoting communication through the use of vocabulary and grammar. I utilize tasks that encourage speaking, listening, reading and writing in context; and create opportunities for students to use English meaningfully in conversation, discussions, and role-plays.
