Simos Papadopoulos

Hello everyone!! My name is Simos and I live in the beautiful island of Crete. I am born and raised in Athens, the capital of Greece. I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Greek philology and my master's degree in teaching Greek as a second language. I'm really interested in subjects like Greek history, culture, literature, music and tradition. I have 5 years of teaching experience with foreign students and 7 years experience with local students. I have worked as a teacher in the Greek Counsil of Refugees, helping adult refugees to learn the language and the Greek society. I am familiar with I like to use the communicative approach in teaching, focusing on language use. My main goal is to design the lessons according to my students needs and interests, so they can be effective and fun at the same time. I always try to plan interactive lessons that involve reading, listening, speaking and writing, focusing on new vocabulary and grammar by authentic texts.
