Teacher Lerissa

Hello and Welcome! My name is Teacher Lerissa; and I'm an English tutor. I love hiking, walking and watching soccer and movies. Im very energetic and very enthusiastic. I have 15 years experience as an Operations Administrator and 1 year as,a Teacher Assistant. I also hold a 120hour TEFL/TESOL certificate , also completed a 60 hour TEYL and a 310 Practicum certification. In my lessons, you can expect a fun and friendly environment that caters to different learning styles. I use a mix of teaching methods, including Total Physical Response (TPR), to help you engage with the language effectively. Each lesson focuses on all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. We will have lots of conversational practice, role-plays, and interactive activities that encourage you to express yourself confidently. I also incorporate songs, videos, and reading materials to keep lessons interesting and relevant to your life. My goal is to create a positive space where making mistakes is part of the learning process, and where you feel supported as you grow in your language skills.
