Hello everyone! I'm originally from Iraq and I grew up in Venezuela. I attended an American International school at the young of seven years old and have used English all my life ever since. I know first hand what it's like to learn English and the struggles that come along with it. However, I'm here to reassure you that English is actually one of the easiest languages you could learn. It only requires some practice and discipline. I also believe that learning should always be fun. So, come and let's make learning English a fun experience! :D I'm a CELTA certified English teacher and I have four years of experience thus far. I mainly taught English to college students ranging from the ages of 16 to late 40s. I have worked with students with a variety of proficiency level; from very beginner to Over my few years of teaching experience, I have come to learn that it is best to adopt a range of teaching styles rather than just one. This is simply because we all come from different backgrounds and upbringings. We all have different ways of learning and needs that need to be addressed accordingly. As such, my teachings styles vary between communicative language teaching, task-based language, cooperative language learning, the direct method, among others. In addition to addressing students' needs, I also take into consideration the context of the lesson and what teaching style best suits it to ensure the fulfillment of the learning objective. All in all, my approach towards teaching is mainly student-centered as my main goal is to elicit the language from learners as much and as effectively as possible.
