Ms Sophia

Hello. My name is Sophia. I am a native English speaker from Namibia. I hold a TEFL certificate and I speak English every day of my life. My hobbies include reading books and travelling my beautiful country. I have informally tutored both adults and children in my community. I enjoy teaching English, especially basic conversational English because it helps beginners to communicate in English, be it for business, a vacation to another country or continent, or I love to incorporate pop culture in my lessons as it helps students to relate to what they already know from the society and they can engage and make meaningful contribution to their learning experiences. I also use props, flashcards, videos, and everyday examples that any student can easily relate to. My classroom is a safe space of learning, as well as making mistakes without being judged.
