Hi there! I am from Michigan in the USA, in the region known as the Midwest. I am 31 and have had the pleasure of friendships with people all over the world. I am currently learning two languages myself, and really appreciate those who step out of their comfort zones to try something new. I am a fashion designer, writer, and hiker who enjoys nature and studies wildlife from all corners of the world. For the past year I have been teaching adult Ukrainian students online via messaging and Zoom chat through the ENGin program, and through that experience I found my love for teaching language. I excelled in my college writing classes and currently help intermediate and advanced students beautify their writing in individual lessons. I am certified in the specialization of teaching Business English through the TEFL Institute of Ireland; let's talk corporate jargon and corporate rituals! My students can expect to do a lot of their own speaking, as my teaching style is very conversational and immersive. Expanding vocabulary is one of my areas of expertise, and we do this by talking about many different topics, from the weather to sports and literature and beyond. My learners will also learn HOW to find new vocabulary- this is very important as they strive to increase their speaking and writing ability. They will learn how native speakers use English effectively and naturally. I prepare individual lesson plans for each student, with careful regard to prior experience and personal goals. As we go through our sessions, my students find themselves more comfortable with using the English language in a way that feels natural and supportive.
