Sam Buxton

Hi, I’m Sam, a native English speaker from London, England. I am 45 years old. I split my time between London and Barbados with my wife and two children. My passions are running (I have run marathons in different European countries), cycling, socialising, and reading. I am particularly interested in History. I am starting a PhD in this subject, having just completed a History Masters’ at a London University. I am a CELTA qualified English teacher with experience teaching on-line and in-person. I taught at Bromley Adult Education College in South London for two years where I successfully trained students for language exams at different levels in reading, writi My lessons are designed according to your needs; however, you are welcome to suggest areas that you want to concentrate on or alternatively I can create a course of lessons for you based on a consultation between us. We can concentrate on exam practice or we can have more informal conversational lessons whereby we concentrate more on speaking and listening. In my classes I create a friendly, relaxed, and fun, environment, where mistakes are not seen as a negative but an opportunity to highlight areas to concentrate on.
