- Your lesson plan underpins your teaching philosophy. What phases of a lesson do you include?
How is your lesson plan structured? Does it adhere to the PPP, ESA, 5 Es, or any other format? Please share what you know!
Best answer
I usually stick to PPP but I use ESA quite often as well. It's more engaging for our students, I guess. When we mix the activities, break the rhythm of the class from time to time, it makes our classes more engaging and less monotonous. :) What about you, Nasreddine? :) Whats's your favourite lesson plan structure?
Best answer
- By making your student feel welcomed and comfortable. - Not belittling the student for not knowing something - Cracking a few jokes here and there
- What are some of the best ways to engage your students?
How can you turn students’ extrinsic motivation into intrinsic motivation?
Best answer
I find that students open up more and engage in the lesson enthusiastically when they are talking something they are familiar with, especially about themselves. I always try to make the lesson as personal as I possibly can. I also try to open up about myself so that they do not feel like it's an interrogation. 🌻
