A lot of pronunciation challenges come from the contrasts between English and the native languages of students. For example, Italian doesn't have the "th" sound, which makes words like "think" and "this" especially tricky for my new Italian learners.
Anemone - a type of flower :)
The English words I struggled with pronouncing was MISCHIEVOUS I learnt to break it up and say the full word clear by also understanding the meaning .(MIS-chee-vus) the meaning of it -causing or showing a fondness for causing trouble in a playful way. "mischievous children" Phenomenon (fuh-NOM-uh-non) - a fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause or explanation is in question. Nebulous (NEH-byoo-lus) - in the form of a cloud or haze; hazy. "a giant nebulous glow" Debacle (duh-BAA-kuhl) - a sudden and ignominious failure; a fiasco.
