I had a student named hamza, he was from the north of Morocco, and had a strong Spanish influnced accent and couldn't pronounce the "th" sounds as well as the "R/L" sounds, after a week of practice, i still remember i have just woken up when he sent me a voice memo, and for a min i thought it one of my Americans friends but to my surpise he was the one speaking.
I had a student who was an engineer and he started to study with me from Monday to Friday. One hour per day. In six month's time he reached B1level. That was really stunning. He started as a low basic student which is A1, according to the Common European Framework(CEFR)for languages. I was really impressed. That's a milestone, for sure.
One if my students from Poland was very scared of speaking English with strangers because she was not at all confident in herself. After having daily lessons with her for two weeks, she went hiking and one of the English speaking hikers asked her for directions and she was able to direct her in English. She was so excited that she told me this on our very next lesson

Start testWhen l taught vocabulary to my Japanese student . She struggled a lot from the begining . Then l did a research and fought out that Japanesse have a tradition of borrowing words from other languages. I then decided to change my way of teaching her . I told her a proveb that says "As a man thinks in his heart so is he ". The she had it translated to her language and understood . The next day she came to class with a brand new mindset, she started taking everything l was teaching her and combined the words together . I tell you in a space of three weeks she held a proper conversation with me about food in a way that l myself was shocked about it.
